So Thursday night the wife was craving some cheese fries and neither one of use wanted to venture out. Of course I thought I wanted something a little different than just cheese covered fries.
After doing a little looking around online I came up across the following recipe. (It also happens to be from allrecipes.com.)
This recipe is for one person/serving so adjust as needed.

Baked French Fries I
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 large baking potato
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Preheat oven to 450. Cut the potato(es) into wedges. In a bowl big enough to hold the potate(es), mix together the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder and onion powder. Add the potato(es) and mix until coated. Place on a lightly oiled baking sheet and cook for about 45 minutes.
After the wedges have baked, I covered them with grated cheese and bacon bits and placed back in the oven until the cheese was melted.
Overall, they weren’t bad. I don’t think this was my best attempt at making cheese fries, but definitely something I can build upon.
Try it out and let me know what you think. Or if you can improve upon the recipe, I would like to hear that too!
